Your Name:: Varitek, MT, Dusty works if I'm accepted xD Your Age:: 14 Canon or Original:: Canon How did you find us:: Proboards Support
-------
Name:: Dustfinger Alias:: The Fire-Dancer Age:: 45 Job/Position:: fire-eater Location:: Roxane's Farm, Lombrica
---
Appearance:: Dustfinger's hair is a ruffled, sandy mop that falls almost to his shoulders and into his face. The stubble around his narrow-lipped mouth is gingery. Ginger hair sprouted on his cheeks, too, sparse as a boy's first beard. He has a very strange smile that may be mocking, supercilious, or just awkward. The Fire-Dancer stands about 6'3" and has blue eyes. He weighs about 180 lbs and is thin, but strong. His face is very pale, especially at night, and he usually wears the black and red costume of a fire-eater.
Distinguishing Features:: Dustfinger has a very pale face, which is more obvious at night. His scars, which made him very easy to recognize, were left behind in the realm of the dead. What makes him stick out most is his reputation and the fire he carries everywhere, including the sparks that dance around him constantly, and his red hair.
Personality:: Dustfinger is very calm and his face is hard to read. It has been said to look like a closed book, compared to some people's open faces. He is calmest when he is playing with fire, which he does with great skill. He is not extremely loyal if his deepest desire can be fulfilled by betraying someone else. However, for his closest friends and family, he would do anything. Since his return from the dead, he is much more brave than before. In addition, he follows Silvertongue like a shadow, protecting the man who brought him back from the dead. Dustfinger cares more for the Bluejay and Roxane than anyone else in the world- his or any other.
Strengths:: Animal association Fairy association Fire dancing
Weaknesses:: Cars Somewhat of a coward
---
Companions:: Roxane, Farid, Silvertongue, Meggie, Resa, The Black Prince
History:: Dustfinger was born in Argenta, where he grew up as a homeless orphan with the Black Prince. The two got into a great deal of mischief after being pilloried together at age 11. He was scarred by Basta, who was jealous after Roxane decided to marry the fire-eater instead of him. He was a very talented and well-known fire-eater when he was taken from the Inkworld and his wife, Roxane, by the voice of Mortimer Folchart. Also left behind were two daughters, Brianna and Rosanna, and many friends.
He stayed in the real world for ten years. During those ten years, Dustfinger found Farid, who followed him against his wish, though he grew closer to the boy who becomes his apprentice. After learning that one of Capricorn's men is supposed to kill him, according to the original book Inkheart, his greatest fear becomes that what was written as his end will come true.
Dustfinger is finally returned to his own world by a man named Orpheus, nicknamed Cheeseface by Farid, to find Roxane had married, only to have her new husband killed in a fire. She had by him a son, however, and one of his own daughters, Rosanna, had died while he was gone. Roxane and everyone else in the Inkworld had thought Dustfinger dead, as well, and wondered at where he had gone, how he had returned.
During the fight in the woods, following the Bluejay's release from the Castle of Night, Farid was stabbed in the back by Basta. Dustfinger watched Mo kill the murderer, then exchanged his own life for Farid's, whom he considered the son he never had.
The Fire-Dancer returns from the dead without his scars and with many more tricks up his sleeve when Silvertongue makes a deal with the White Women- he and Dustfinger return to the realm of the living, only to return again to the dead if Silvertongue cannot destroy the Adderhead and his White Book. With help from others, Dust chief among them, Silvertongue succeeds, and the threat of death is gone. Once, Dust hated Mo for bringing him out of his book, always longing to go back, but now he becomes the Bluejay's "fiery shadow," looking out for and protecting him. He is also much more brave than before.
RP example::Dustfinger, leaning against Roxane's house, watched Gwin and Jink scamper away into the blackness of the woods and sighed. They were probably looking for Farid. It wasn't that he minded his apprentice, but Roxane had never much liked him. Speaking of which, you should be in bed, Dustfinger, he reminded himself. His eyes scanned the dark trees again and then wandered up to the sky and the twinkling stars. He'd always liked night best, in this world and the other. The cool night breeze blew across his face, throwing his hair into his eyes. He brushed it back and turned to the small farmhouse, slipping quietly through the door.
"How can I sleep tonight?" he muttered to himself. The answer was simple: he couldn't. A bit too much energy, perhaps? He wasn't sure. But there was certainly something keeping the Fire-Dancer awake, so he sat on the edge of the bed, looking down at Roxane. Beautiful Roxane. Dust gently tucked a loose strand of black hair behind her ear and kissed her forehead before disappearing into the darkness once more.

A good start. ^.^ I'd just like to see a few more sentences of personality, since it's a canon, and a few more things listed in the strengths and weaknesses.

Strenths: Animal association. Fairy association. Fire dancing.
Weaknesses: Cars Somewhat of a coward
Also, Ombra is in Lombrica, which is where Dustfinger and the Black Prince, and all them are for the most part.
You should add Roxanes Farm, Lombrica as the location.
After that, it's amazing. ^.^
