The Adderhead is dead, firstly. His rule has come to an end at last, and the people Ombra can breathe freely. The only question now is, how long will this freedom last?
The air is heavy with the possibility of an upcoming war. The Adderheads widow, the people fear, may be looking to secure two thrones for her son. And how will Ombra defend itself? The only men left in the city are too old to fight. The only soldiers are children, still shaken by the events within the Castle in the Lake.
And what about the north? Strange news has been coming from what few known villages there are noth of Ombra. News of a man who makes the impossible real, and almost none of it good.
What will happen to the Inkworld, with no one left to write the story?
