Hey!
Has anyone here ever read the books by John Flanagan entilted "Ranger's Apprentice?"
I've read the first three books, and am going to read the fourth soon. They are incrediblity good in my opinion. If you have not read them, nor heard of them, I advise you to check the first book out, "The Ruins of Gorlan," if adventure, medieval, and action is what you like to read about.

I've never even heard of them, but I'll look into them. ^.^ Can you tell me a bit of what they're about?

The main characters of the books (well, so far) are Will, Halt, and Horace. The men live in a similar timeline of medieval Europe, but I have seen traces of the Nordic times (1000s) from the second book onward.
Will and Horace are helpers' hands for a castle. They both have a chance to be warriors, which they want so badly. However, things do not go as planned and Will changes his motives, for the better.
Back of book one:
The Rangers, with their dark cloaks and shadowy ways, have always made him nervous. The villagers believe the Rangers practice magic that makes them invisible to ordinary people. And now fifteen-year-old Will, always small for his age, has been chosen as a Ranger's apprentice. What he doesn't yet realize is that the Rangers are protectors of the Kingdom. Highly trained in the skills of battle and surveillance, they fight the battles before the battles reach the people. And as Will is about to learn, there is a large battle brewing. The exiled Morgarath, Lord of the Mountains of Rain and Night, is fathering his forces for an attack on the kingdom. This time, he will not be denied...

Sounds interesting. I'll look into them when I have a chance. I'm currently reading the 'Wicked' series, so I won't have time for a while probably.

Trust me, Roxane, when you get the time, take it. Read those books- they are amazing. The books- and the characters, too- are addicting. I've read the first five- it's all that's out in the US. I can't wait for the sixth, and for my birthday (in June), I think I'm going to ask for the Australian versions of the rest xD My addiction is that bad.

Depends on where you live, so I'll link you to the page with all the covers (seeing as I don't know where you live). The page is not completely updated, but it's only a book behind, I believe. (There are 8 in Australia, 5 in the US.) rangersapprentice.com/the-series.htmVtek
